This doesn't have a whole lot to do with technical writing, but it does touch on something that came up in class today:
2005 tied for worst year for tropical storms (CNET)
From the article:
"While it is unclear whether global warming has created more storms, many experts say it has made the storms that occur more intense."Food for thought...although, I don't think I'll be looking to buy a Prius any time soon.

Linda, you can post a new message by going to Blogger.com and signing in with the username and password that you used to set up your Blogger account.
Once you're signed in, you should see the Blogger Dashboard. You should see a link to the TC 231 blog and a button (a "+" sign) to add a new post.
When you click on that button, a page will come up with space for you to type in a new message. When you're done, click "Submit Post" and let Blogger do the rest.
One more interesting aside...NASA put together a visualization of all 21 named storms.
I promise this will be my last hurricane-related post.
